The band saw can be used to cut several pieces of wood of the same size simultaneously. Stack the pieces together and secure the stack with masking tape. Adjust the band saw's foot to the appropriate height. Feed the stack of wood through the blade just as you would a single piece. The cuts will be identical on each piece from the stack.
The band saw fence was set to put the grinding wheel centred on the blade. The fence then acts as a guide for the jig to keep it square to the blade: The results are impressive, it took roughly 10 minutes to sharpen a 120″ blade.
Band Saw: What it's used for: A bandsaw is a piece of machinery that is used to cut angled or curved shapes on a piece of wood. The band saw has the same function as a jigsaw only it is much larger and instead of moving the saw to cut the wood like on a jigsaw you move the wood around the blade.
